Ripstop weaving makes your cover durable and strong. A reinforced grid is woven in the fabric pattern to prevent ripping. If a rip somehow begins, the grid pattern will stop it from going any further, hence the name “Ripstop”.
Traditional woven fabrics are not completely waterproof, so that is where a PU coating comes in. PU1500MM has been applied to the fabric to make it 100% water repellent. It makes a waterproof barrier, while still being smooth.
